Mission Statement

Pinecrest Academy is a private, Pre-K through 12, college preparatory Catholic school. We provide an atmosphere of academic rigor and critical thinking, while offering personalized attention in a Christ-centered environment of faith and reason.

We prepare our students to become committed Christian leaders, eager to transform society. Following the educational philosophy of Regnum Christi Schools, we implement Integral Formation® to develop the spiritual, intellectual, human, and apostolic dimensions of the whole person.

We challenge our students to identify and use their gifts in service to others.

Recognizing the parent as the primary educator of the child, our mission embraces the entire family. We provide a safe, moral, and spiritual environment which leads to positive peer groups and joyful, caring, confident students.

We are here to serve the Archdiocese of Atlanta, our local parishes, and the regional Christian and civic communities.

Pinecrest Academy has been designated a 2014 National Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education, the only PreK-12 in the State of Georgia to receive this honor. The school has been recognized for the eleventh consecutive year as a School of Excellence by the Cardinal Newman Society Catholic School Honor Roll. Pinecrest is one of just two Catholic high schools in the State of Georgia to receive this honor. Our success is confirmed by rankings and awards we have earned since 2007, including our designation as the #1 Catholic High School in the State of Georgia by Niche.com. Pinecrest Academy is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS). We are also affiliated with the following associations: Georgia Independent School Association (GISA), National Catholic Education Association (NCEA), and National Consultants for Education (NCE).

Here's what parents are saying:

"My daughter Meghan Green (Martasin at the time), attended Pinecrest Academy when they opened in 1998. I know that the education and guidance she received during her time there was instrumental in molding her into the woman she is today, both personally and professionally." - Ken Martasin, Pinecrest Parent from 1998

"Why we choose to send our daughter to Pinecrest Academy?
First of all, there is never going to be a “perfect school” but there can be “a perfect school” for your child. Our daughter, a rising 9th grader, has been at Pinecrest since Kindergarten. She has received a tremendous academic education, one in which she has been encouraged to go beyond her comfort level in order to succeed. The Pinecrest teachers motivate and challenge students to achieve their best. The staff and faculty are united in one mission to form young Christian leaders who will transform the world in which they live. In addition to the academics, our daughter has benefitted greatly from participating in sports, clubs and apostolic service projects. Pinecrest is a Catholic school where prayer, sacraments and feast day celebrations are part of its fabric. We value the on-campus presence of the Legionary priests and Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi. We chose and continue to choose Pinecrest Academy because our daughter is getting an excellent, well-rounded Catholic education with a solid human formation and many opportunities to serve others." - Denise Madgey, Pinecrest Parent
Our Mission: To form Christian leaders who will transform society.
SEMPER ALTIUS = ALWAYS HIGHER

The mission of Pinecrest Academy is reflected in the word Integer, which is Latin for “whole,” or “entire,” and reflects our goal of forming the whole child as an authentic “Person in Christ.” The school motto Semper Altius, means “Always Higher,” and challenges our students, parents, staff and faculty to strive for excellence in all areas of Integral Formation® - intellectual, spiritual, human and apostolic.
